Wokingham is a small market town approximately 33 miles west of London. It lies just off junction 10 of the M4 motorway between Bracknell and Reading. Heathrow Airport is 20 miles to the east and reachable in just 30 minutes by car.
Train services from Wokingham railway station to Reading and London Waterloo operate every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on Sundays. Services to Gatwick Airport also run hourly. The majority of the serviced apartments in Wokingham are near transport links of some kind.
The town’s population is around 35,000 and, in the 2012 Family Friendly Hotspots report, it was deemed the best place in England and Wales to bring up a family. In the town centre, a variety of typical town centre shops are found in Market Place and Peach Street. Tesco supermarket is found to the south of the town centre on Finchampstead Road, while Sainsbury's supermarket is in Winnersh just north of Wokingham.
