Warwick is located in the English county of Warwickshire, along the River Avon. It is also known as a government district including towns such as Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Whitnash. The town is famous for being home to Warwick Castle, which opens its grounds to the public throughout the year.
There are multiple industrial estates within the town which house several head offices for a range of companies. National Grid plc has its head office based in the Warick Technology Park as well as JET (the petrol filling station). Another industrial estate, located on the other side of town, is the Wedgnock Industrial Estate, which is home to the bases of IBM and Volvo Group UK.
There are two stations that serve the city. Warwick Parkway station sits on the outskirts of the town, whereas Warwick railway station sits at the city’s centre. The central station provides regular services to Leamington Spa, Birmingham and London. The nearest airport is Birmingham Airport, approximately a 30-minute drive northwards from the town centre. Birmingham Airport is the seventh busiest in the UK with flights to a broad range of European destinations as well as the Middle East and the US.
