Sandbach is a town in Chesire known for its countryside charm and historical roots dating back to the Saxon era. Things to do in Sandbach
If you are visiting on a Thursday or Saturday, we would strongly recommend making the most of your trip by exploring the Sandbach market. There is lots of festivals and events that take place in Sandbach year-round such as the Sandbach Transport Festival, ideal of business travellers relocating with family. Built in the 14th century, St Mary’s Church is great if you fancy a bit of historical sightseeing. There is a selection of independent business and shops throughout in the town as well as just outside it such as the Pear Tree Farm Shop, all worth a visit. Explore Sandbach Park or Brook Wood and delve deeper into the town’s wonderful natural spaces. The city of Chester is nearby which makes for a great day trip.
Transport in Sandbach
Sandbach railway station which has Northern rail trains running through it daily with at least one hourly direct train to Manchester Piccadilly and two trains per hour heading southbound to Crewe. Sandbach station is an 8-minute bus away (Line 37 bus), 3-minute taxi (around £7), or 30-minute walk away from the town centre. There are five D&G bus services (37, 38, 316, 317, 319) which operate in the town and just over 35 various stops. It’s very easy to get around Sandbach via bus and it is cheap. Cycling and walking are always a great alternative also if you are just staying local.
