Leatherhead is a historic market town located in the county of Surrey, to the south of London. The town is a successful business centre with research and engineering industries. In recent years it has attracted a vast array of service sector companies and the headquarters of major corporations, which are predominantly housed within several industrial parks around the town.
Leatherhead is filled with recreational facilities such as the pedestrianised shopping precinct, Leatherhead Leisure Centre, Leatherhead Golf Club, the Museum of Local History and Leatherhead Theatre. In addition, the surrounding area offers plenty of alternative amusements including Box Hill, Chessington World of Adventures, Bockett’s Farm, and a selection of guided walks which take place in the neighbouring picturesque villages.
From the Leatherhead central railway station, there are frequent trains to London Waterloo, London Victoria and Wimbledon. London Gatwick Airport is approximately 12 miles away via the M25 motorway.
