Crewe is located within the area of Cheshire East. It's best known as a large railway junction and as home to Crewe Works. From 1946-2002 it was also the home of Rolls-Royce motor car production.

Crewe railway station is less than a mile from the town centre, although it was not incorporated into the then borough of Crewe until 1937. It is one of the largest stations in the North West and a major interchange station on the West Coast Mainline. It has 12 platforms in use and has direct services to London (Euston), EdinburghCardiffLiverpoolManchesterBirminghamGlasgow and more.

Crewe is on the A500, A530 and A534 roads, and is less than 10 miles from the M6 motorway.
