Chorleywood is a village and civil parish in the Three Rivers district of Hertfordshire. The parish as a whole has a population of 10,775. The village’s close proximity to London has made it part of London’s commuter belt, and it’s included in the government-defined Greater London Urban Area.

The village is famous for its Quakers, some of whom helped found the Pennsylvania Colony in the US. It grew extensively in the late 19th century with the extension of the Metropolitan Railway (now the Metropolitan underground line).

It’s a peaceful area, ideal for those working in central London who want to stay somewhere quieter. There's plenty of countrysides around, including Chorleywood Common, a tract of 0.8 square kilometres of wooded common land, which is home to significant biodiversity. There’s a nine-hole golf course there, as well as a cricket pitch.

Chorleywood station is in zone 7 on the Metropolitan line. Most of the trains that pass through the station are underground trains, but Chiltern Railways services between Marylebone and Aylesbury also stop there. The majority of the serviced apartments Chorleywood has to offer are near transport links of some kind.
