Things to do in Chapelhall

There are some scenic walks dotted around Chapelhall that lead you into the surrounding hills. Take a stroll around the village and visit the Chapelhall War Memorial, a historical site. If you travel a few miles outside the village, you will find that neighbouring towns such as Coatbridge have a variety of family friendly activities. Hollywood Bowl Glasgow Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre, The Time Capsule (a swimming pool and leisure centre) are all under 5 miles away.

Transport in Chapelhall

There are 13 bus stops in and about the village with 7 different coach and bus services pass close to Chapelhall including the 16, 202, and 248C. The 902 service takes you from Buchanan Bus Station (Glasgow) to Burniebrae Road (Chapelhall), departs hourly and is a 40 minute transfer. It takes about 16 minutes too drive to Chapehall from Glasgow so if you are visiting Scotland for a longer business trip it might be worth hiring a car. The bus and driving are the cheapest options. You can also get a 24-minute train journey from Glasgow to Airdrie and then it’s only an 8-minute drive to Chapelhall.
