East of Bracknell, Ascot is home to arguably the most famous racecourse in the country. Following a £200 million redevelopment programme, Ascot Racecourse opened to the public in 2006. Staging on average 26 race days a year, the busiest period for Ascot is when the Royal Meeting takes place. The Racecourse has brought a great deal of development to the area in recent years with a significant increase in independent shops, restaurants and cafes. In addition to the Racecourse, Ascot is home to a range of different businesses including the Chartered Institute of Building and several other small to medium companies.

The leafy suburban area is ideal for those looking to commute into neighbouring towns such as Bracknell, MaidenheadWoking or Slough. Ascot railway station is a short walk away from the high street with services into London Waterloo taking just under an hour. By car, London is just under a 45-minute drive with the M3, M4 and M25 motorways all within close proximity. London Heathrow is just under a 30-minute drive, making it the ideal location for those who are visiting the capital on business but want to stay out of the city.
