Situated in the centre of Rwanda, Kigali is the vibrant capital of the country. With the lowest crime rate on the continent the city prides itself on the safety of citizens. Kigali's trade is mainly based on agriculture where farmers use simple tools to sustain the economy.
Kigali has risen after 1994 and its economy has grown through improved collection of tax and the privatization of national enterprises. For the majority of years, coffee has been the main source of income for Rwanda and Kigali is the main trading hub for these resources. After the late 2000's recession, Kigali has begun to rise with the increase of the tourism and service industries.
