Home to a large game reserve, known to breed endangered wildlife native to Africa, Nairobi has long been a popular destination for zoologists and scientific sectors. With a population of just over 3 million, Nairobi is the most populous city in Kenya and over the years has benefited from becoming a tourist hub, with safari's being conducted from the centre of the city.
An expanding economy means Nairobi has prospered and has put back into its economy. Many sectors in the city are focused around tourism, however, mining and natural resources continue to be the main exports for Kenya. Expansion and overcoming the global recession has also seen the growth of telecommunication companies and construction industries in recent years.
