The Urban Food Fest has landed in London. Located in popular, hipster hangout Shoreditch, the food festival runs from 1st November to 20th December. Opening each evening, the festival makes for a fun night out fuelled with delicious food and drink from around the world.
All this talk of food has got us thinking about our favourite food markets in London – and the best located London serviced apartments to experience them!
Leather Lane Market
Popular among the Farringdon lunch time crowd. Our favourite food stall is “Grill My Cheese”, which serves up hot cheese toasties. The market has some of the best fresh fruit and veg in the City, perfect for those looking to cook up an evening meal in their serviced apartment.
SilverDoor represents The Rosebery Apartments which are spacious studio, one and two bedroom apartments. Located in Farringdon, these apartments are within close proximity of Leather Lane.
Greenwich Market
With an ever changing roster of food stalls, Greenwich Market offers the hungry customer a huge choice with forty-four stalls you’re bound to find something to whet your appetite. If you have a sweet tooth, the Mini Dutch Dippers with their tiny Dutch pancakes offer the perfect excuse to indulge.
In a picturesque location near the riverbank, Greenwich Apartments are just a short distance away from transport links. As well as one, two and three bedroom apartments there is also a penthouse with two bedrooms.
Exmouth Market
On a week day lunchtime expect the Exmouth Market in Clerkenwell to be heaving with city foodies looking for a quick bite to eat. There’s a selection of twenty stalls, but our choice is always the Ion Patisserie, which serves up amazing desserts and sweets, including their irresistible New York Cheesecake.
Vine Hill Apartments are located in Farringdon, which is a walkable distance to Exmouth Market. These apartments have two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens and a free welcome pack available to all guests.
Golborne Road
The award winning Moroccan Soup Stand can be found on Golborne Road in Portobello. The market has its own distinct feel from that of nearby Portobello Road Market and offers up an eclectic mix of international food stalls for those looking for something more exotic.
Close to Goldborne Road are Portobello Apartments, these modern one and two bedroom apartments are well equipped for long and short term stays. All apartments come with open plan living areas and free wireless internet.
Camden Lock
Camden Lock’s Global Kitchen offers an array of diverse street food – from kangaroo burgers to Ethiopian curry, you’re bound to find something new to try! Crêpes à la carte are our stand out choice from Camden Lock, their sweet and savoury crepes never fail to disappoint.
Albert Apartments are studio and one bedroom apartments in Camden, and are well equipped with fully fitted kitchens and a weekly maid service.
If you’re visiting London make sure you have the chance to visit one of these street markets, you’re taste buds will thank you for it!
