Alongside other members of the SilverDoor team, I recently caught up with Cheval Collection in their Edinburgh location. Although the weather lived up to its rainy reputation, it couldn’t dampen our spirits as were shown around our property partners’ inviting location.
We began our relationship with Cheval in 2018 and, during that time, we have worked in partnership to accommodate a multitude of business travellers. In their Edinburgh portfolio, the collection also features Cheval The Edinburgh Grand and Cheval Abbey Strand Apartments at Holyrood.
Our primary focus for this visit was Cheval Old Town Chambers, a location just four minutes from Edinburgh Waverley train station and only nine miles from Edinburgh Airport.
The Old Town Chambers first opened its doors to visitors in 2020. The property consists of a mixture of accommodation options including studio apartments, as well as one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. One of the many highlights on the visit was the three-bedroom penthouse suite. The penthouse is an impressive 1500 sqm space with panoramic views overlooking the city centre and iconic Edinburgh Castle.
When looking around the property, we were reminded of the subtle Cheval additions evident in each apartment, such as:
- Keyless entry to the apartment (guests enter using a 4-digit pin)
- A Nespresso coffee machine in every apartment
- Complimentary chilled water available in the rooms’ fridge and at the reception
- A Bose speaker in every apartment
The team were shown around Luckenbooths, a multi-level bar and restaurant located on the ground floor. Although we didn’t brave the terrace this time, it would be the perfect spot to unwind after a business day in the warmer months.
