For the fourth episode of our Travel with Confidence series, our Group Head of Partner Relationships, Alex Neale, visited PREMIER SUITES in Reading to discuss the safe return of serviced accommodation with the immensely knowledgeable Treda Shotton, Head of Sales with PREMIER SUITES.
Touching on how COVID-19 has affected serviced apartment occupancy rates, and how PREMIER SUITES have adapted their service to ensure guest safety - including earning building level certification with ISAAP and Common Sense Compliance - the interview provides a fascinating insight into how business accommodation is set to return in the new travel landscape.
Treda also shares some positives, such as how the pandemic led many new clients to discover serviced apartments for the first time, having lost confidence in hotel equivalents. The additional space, privacy and natural distancing of serviced apartments, as well as the easily implemented additional safety protocols, promises to continue to entice new clients to the sector. As the 'home from home' experience delivered by serviced apartments stays becomes the standard expectation of business travellers, and longer stays become more common, it is likely that, post pandemic, serviced apartments will take a larger market share than previously - all at great benefit to the increasing client base.
Stay tuned for more Travel with Confidence interviews with our valued property partners coming soon. In the meantime, why not revisit our previous interview with Supercity Aparthotels.
