In September 2020 we launched a video interview series focusing on health and safety optimisation in the serviced apartment sector – Travel with Confidence. Now, as sustainability plays an increasingly important role in business travel decision making, we are turning our attention to how serviced apartment operators are improving their sustainability strategies.
Our first Stay Responsibly episode sees our Group Head of Partner Relationships, Alex Neale, speaking with Jake Seage – Head of Corporate Sales at STAY – about how the team at STAY Camden is utilising innovative technology and partnerships in their journey towards reducing their carbon footprint.
In the interview, Jake details how STAY Camden has adapted its processes based on client feedback and the increasing demand for sustainability measures to be data driven and scientifically backed. As a result of these changes, STAY Camden now boasts:
- Completely contactless, digitalised check-in and billing
- A waste removal partnership with iRecyle through which waste is transported away by canal boat to be recycled
- Eco flow limited taps and showerheads which reduce water wastage
- CHP boilers which produce electricity for the building while heating water
- Accreditation (or soon to be acquired accreditation) with both Green Tourism and Greengage
- An optional grocery delivery service using electric bikes
- Eco-friendly cleaning products
Our next Stay Responsibly interview will be coming soon - watch this space and follow our social media channels to ensure you don't miss it.
