Offering an exciting mix of drama, comedy, music and dance, The Preston Tringe festival (23rd July - 1st August), gives festival goers who might not be able to afford a trip to the Edinburgh festival, the opportunity to see a collection of acts closer to home. Costing just ten pounds for a day pass, thirty pounds for a festival pass and with over forty acts lined up to perform, it is an event that cannot be missed.
After the success of the festival last year, SilverDoor decided to be a leading sponsor of the event. This was mainly due to the fact that SilverDoor’s Managing Director, Marcus Angell, is originally from Preston, making it a city that is naturally very close to his heart. This coupled with the fact that enquiries for serviced apartments in Preston are rapidly increasing, it seemed liked the perfect opportunity to highlight the company to the people of Preston.
Five employees from SilverDoor headed to Preston on Saturday morning to enjoy what the festival has to offer. There were so many acts to choose from across four venues throughout the city. First stop was the stand up comedy at The Black Horse, where they were entertained by four acts all performing very different forms of comedy in the relaxed pub atmosphere.
As the main sponsor, SilverDoor was asked to be interviewed by Preston FM to talk about the festival and why we chose to sponsor it. This allowed us to spread the word about the Tringe Festival and highlight the importance of supporting such events.
Having recently added new Preston apartments to our website, the trip also allowed members of the team to visit some of the new properties. This allows us to become familiar with the area, view the apartments first hand and get to know our property providers. Doing these simple things helps maximise our knowledge of the area and individual properties.
If you would also like to see an eclectic collection of different acts in one place. Take a look here for performance times and venue details. For those who live in the North West listen out for an interview with SilverDoor airing at 19:00 on 26th July as part of the Preston Tringe programme on Preston FM.
