SilverDoor announces Orbi integration with Conferma Pay
10th July 2020

Amidst the global coronavirus pandemic, contactless delivery, check-in and payment have become more important than ever. As norms of interaction have shifted drastically to optimise safety and cleanliness, digital transactions have soared in recent months to combat unnecessary communal touch points. In the wake of this, we are excited to announce our integration with Conferma Pay.

Conferma Pay is a global financial technology company with a mission to help businesses digitise payment processes. With roots in the travel industry, Conferma Pay connects the world’s largest selection of virtual card providers with more than 700 travel management companies using virtual payment systems that make corporate settlement more efficient and secure.

The benefits of cashless, plastic-free payment solutions such as Conferma Pay for business travellers and their organisations are evident, as the popularity of virtual cards for business to pay for goods and services rapidly increases. Clients booking with our online booking tool, Orbi, can now charge all accommodation fees to Conferma Pay in any area that accepts it.

Martin Klima, our Group Head of Client Relationships, said of the partnership: “We are always looking for ways we can make booking with SilverDoor quicker, more convenient and secure for our clients. The integration with Conferma Pay is just another example of how we are doing this.

“Virtual card transactions are more efficient for businesses to process, more transparent, less open to misuse and - in the wake of Covid-19 - clearly safer. We expect demand for virtual cards to increase significantly and this integration means we can respond to this”

David Wood, Director of Hotel Products at Conferma Pay, added that the benefits for businesses using virtual payment were clear: “We are seeing more and more businesses seek virtual payment solutions from a single, preferred partner to help streamline their expense management system.  Integration with a virtual card, and the removal of billback or credit accounts, not only makes payment management more efficient and secure, it also helps leverage the corporate credit in as many instances as possible”

The integration could not have come at a better time, and we are delighted to be able to tailor our bespoke online booking technology, Orbi, even further to the evolving requirements of business travellers and travel managers.
