SilverDoor has become the first serviced apartment provider to partner with TRIPBAM’s leading hotel re-shop technology. Integrating TRIPBAM’s software with our proprietary API technology, the partnership provides Travel Managers with the opportunity to include our global portfolio of serviced apartments in their accommodation programme strategy – offering better value and greater benefits than equivalent hotel recommendations.
As businesses adjust to the new travel landscape, predictions suggest corporate trips will become longer in duration and less frequent – TRIPBAM’s own analytics data has found the average length of stay for business trips has increased by an extra day on average compared with 2019. Trends also indicate that business travellers are more likely to choose serviced apartments for stays of five nights or more.
In recognition of this, TRIPBAM is integrating SilverDoor’s network of serviced apartments into their tailored offering to Travel Managers – with apartment options featuring in re-shop searches for stays of five nights or more. This will dramatically increase corporations’ saving potential (with the nightly rate of serviced apartments typically costing 13.33% less than hotels), and reduce their business travel carbon footprint – a single hotel room produces, on average, over 16kg more CO2 per night than a serviced apartment.
“This new partnership with SilverDoor will give TRIPBAM clients the ability to better serve their organisations by bringing accommodations appropriate for longer stays into their hotel programmes,” said Peter Grover, TRIPBAM Managing Director for Europe. “Beyond the benefit of providing savings, this agreement promises to enhance traveller satisfaction and confidence post-pandemic and also expands TRIPBAM’s offering to the non-GDS environment.”
“SilverDoor’s partnership with TRIPBAM symbolises another leap forward for the serviced apartment sector,” said SilverDoor Group CEO Stuart Winstone. “Bringing apartments into the competitive hotel re-shop market, SilverDoor can demonstrate to corporate travel buyers the cost advantages of serviced apartments and the tangible benefits they provide for long-stay business trips in the post-COVID world.”
