SilverDoor is excited to reveal its chosen charity partner for the year – Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. Each year, our SilverDoorians come together to elect a new cause to support through the year ahead, and we couldn’t be more delighted to announce our budding partnership with this incredibly worthwhile charity.
Charity and fundraising are extremely important here at SilverDoor, and we value every opportunity to make a difference. Our previous partnership with the veteran charity STOLL was extremely rewarding, and we cannot wait to get equally involved in supporting Rainbow Trust's mission.
Rainbow Trust was chosen by our team members because of the invaluable support it offers to families of children with life-threatening or terminal illnesses. Providing understanding and support, the charity’s Family Support Workers are there for families during their toughest moments.
For a family, a child being diagnosed with a life-threatening or terminal illness is extremely difficult to come to terms with. Rainbow Trust helps families by providing practical and emotional support when they need it most, supporting the whole family, including parents, the unwell child, their siblings, and grandparents. Each family is paired with their own Family Support Worker and the support they provide is hugely varied. From listening to a parent’s fears, to driving families to medical appointments, to taking a sibling for a fun day out, Rainbow Trust allows families to make the most of their precious time together.
Rainbow Trust has such a positive, long-lasting impact on the families it supports, and we could not be prouder to fundraise for them as a charity partner. In fact, we have already begun our fundraising efforts with a silent auction and a rainbow-themed bake sale! Here’s to making a positive and impactful difference in 2022/23!
