Serena, Joanna and I had a fantastic opportunity to meet with our property partners in New York in April. The main objective was to visit the apartments that we sell on a daily basis and to capitalise on the relationships that we’ve already established. We met with a number of companies to discuss the ways in which we can move forward with converting more business in the city for our portfolio of New York serviced apartments.
The city that never sleeps is very competitive, and it was great to see such a wide variety of properties so that we can guarantee our clients the best possible options to suit their requirements. Most of the apartments offer a great choice of on-site amenities such as fitness centres, guest rooms and cardiovascular areas, and some apartments even have an on-site swimming pool or coffee shop. We managed to see plenty of locations within New York, from Central Park right down to Chinatown, and we’re feeling extra confident that we can match our clients' requirements to their desired location.
In addition to Manhattan, we also visited Jersey City which is a fantastic alternative for the guest who likes a quieter location away from the bustle of Manhattan. The rates are fantastic and the commute is very quick via the PATH transport system which gets you into Manhattan in less than 20 minutes. It’s especially fantastic for those working in the Financial District and in many cases is quicker than travelling south from Uptown. In addition to seeing many fantastic properties we were overwhelmed with the hospitality from New Yorkers. They were such lovely people who left a lasting impression on each of us. We dined at some amazing restaurants and even managed to go to Broadway to see Cirque du Soleil.
