Last night SilverDoor hosted an industry event for many of our property partners, welcoming them for cocktails, beer and pizza after a busy day at The Business Travel Show in Earl’s Court.
We really value networking events, because they are a great way to strengthen relationships with clients and partners and in many cases give us the opportunity to put a face to the name. They also provide an opportunity for everyone in the industry to get together and discuss what’s going on in a more informal atmosphere than the usual day to day business meetings.
Although we are fortunate to attend a lot of events held by our property partners, we rarely hold an event ourselves, so it was great to get everyone together in the same place and play host for once.
In true SilverDoor style, we decided to stray away from the traditional industry networking events and host the event in Ping, a table tennis bar in west London. We organised a big tournament and it was great to see so many people eager to show off their talent (or lack of it, in some cases). After an intense final between Murad Vassib from Max Apartments and Szymon Brociek from City Apartments Milton Keynes, Murad pulled through and took the title as the table tennis champion. Well done Murad!
The event was a great success and it was fantastic to see so many people there. Watch this space - we might have to make it a yearly event.
