Manchester is one of the UK's largest cities and one of our most requested destinations, so in February a group of 10 from the Sales Team decided to take a trip up north to look at some of the apartments we have to offer and get to know the city.

With the aim of leaving the office by 3.30pm we finally piled into two cars at about 4pm. After a quick stop off at ASDA and McDonald's to stock up on drinks and chicken nuggets we arrived in the city to check into Dale Street Apartments for the night. Ten of us split into four apartments which had either one, two or three bedrooms and which were clean, spacious and furnished to a good standard. The apartments are in a great location in the city centre, and after quickly getting changed we took a short taxi ride to the Northern Quarter to the Olive Press Italian restaurant. The next day we explored the area – there were numerous shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We ate a late breakfast at the Smoak Bar & Grill, just a few minutes’ walk from the apartments. Some members of the group needed to leave earlier than others so decided to get the train back to London. The station was just a five minute walk from the apartments and the trip back only took two and a half hours, so in our opinion it’s by far the best way to travel between the two cities.
Considering its size, Manchester is very easy to get around and the main attractions – museums, shopping centres and restaurants – are easily accessible on foot. Manchester Piccadilly station, which connects the city to Wales, Scotland and the south of England, is very centrally located. Avoid the hassle of hotels by choosing from SilverDoor's range of Manchester serviced apartments on your next trip to the city.
