It seems like our sci-fi nightmares are coming true and robots are indeed coming to take our jobs, with machines estimated to take over 6% of all US jobs by 2021.
Specifically, we could lose lots of admin and office jobs, but have you ever stopped to think how many jobs technology might actually create in the future?
Think about it. Twenty years ago, people would have looked at you funny if you said you were an ‘app developer’, ‘blogger’ or ‘life coach’.
While in truth, we’ve no idea what the future will actually hold, here are ten jobs that we could see by the year 2100.

It seems like our sci-fi nightmares are coming true and robots are indeed coming to take out jobs, with machines estimates to take over 6 percent of all US jobs by 2021.
Specifically, we could lots of admin and office positions, but have you ever stopped to think how many roles technology might actually create in the future?
Think about it. Twenty years ago, people would have looked at you funny if you said you were an 'app developer', 'blogger' or 'life coach'.
While in truth, we've no idea what the future holds. Here are ten jobs that we might see by the year 2100.
Productivity Officer
Companies will continue to drive for more and more efficiency, even having high-level employees whose sole purpose is to draw from large amounts of data to make recommendations for how employees can work to their best.
Nostalgist
We all love a bit of nostalgia, but soon there will be interior designers whose jobs will be to bring back our favourite decades in our homes.
No matter what decade you're yearning for, a nostalgist will be much more than a designer, requiring an in-depth knowledge of the period itself and great people skills.
Autonomous Transportation Specialist
There's a lot of buzz surrounding driverless cars, drones and people transporters such as Hyperloop, but how will all of these new modes of transport integrate with our current vehicles?
Simplicity Expert
In a world where there's so much going on, the simplicity experts will be tasked with streamlining things down.
Their job will include things such as reducing the amount of pointless meetings we all have to attend and generally making our work lives a little bit easier.
Self-driving Car Mechanic
There are real strides being made towards driverless cars, and while this may spell bad news for the likes of taxi drivers, someone will have to maintain these new vehicles.
Not only will mechanics need all of the skills they have now, but they'll also need a level of techy know-how too.
End of Life Therapist
How we're going to spend out final years is something most of us probably would rather not have to think about, but as our lifespans increase, people may start to focus less on expensive treatments and more on enjoying their final moments.
Human-technology Integration Specialist
As technology becomes a bigger and bigger part of our lives, it's important that we use it to its maximum potential.
This role will be focused on helping people (especially the elderly) embrace the technology available to them and make it easier to use. They'll like hate it when you refer to them as a glorified IT person too!
Media Remixer
First came the DJ, then the VJ, and the next step may be that of a 'Media Remixer' (although hopefully it gets a snappier title).
These guys will mix not just audio and video, but also other media such as images and augmented reality, to create unique experiences which will be used for various purposes such as marketing campaigns and installation art.
Drone Manager
While we already have drones, they're still something of a novelty. In the next few years, we'll see them used a lot more in business and someone will be required to manage and maintain fleets.
Telesurgeon
Also known as a 'remote surgeon', telesurgeons will conduct operations using robotic arms, using a highly advanced sensory system, meaning that specialists will be able to conduct surgeries even when they're miles away from their patient.
