The two cities may be separated by more than 5,000 miles but recently, during George Osborne’s visit to China, it was announced that London and Shanghai are looking into the feasibility of a stock exchange connect scheme.
The scheme would connect two of the world’s largest stock exchanges and create a greater economic bond between two powerhouses from the East and West.
The Shanghai Stock Exchange actually edges out its London counterpart in terms of total market capitalisation but how do the two cities compare in terms of weather, population and average salary?
