Inside Scoop: Supercity Aparthotels
20th June 2018

In a fast-moving industry like the serviced apartment sector, it’s important to be innovative. Supercity Aparthotels, a property partner we work with, stays ahead of the curve by offering a flexible, personalised service that perfectly matches the needs of its guests.

The apartments Supercity provides are not only environmentally-friendly, but also design-led, incorporating original works of art sourced locally from schools and colleges.

Keen to know more, we spoke to Supercity’s Sales Manager, Carley Bannaghan, who came to see us in our London office. Here’s what she had to say:

Talk us through your role at Supercity

I head up our Sales team in Manchester, and am actively involved in the promotion of our new upcoming property, Church Street by Supercity Aparthotels.

As Sales Manager, I drive growth through the creation of corporate contracts and requests for proposals (RFPs), used to sell our properties. It’s my job to maximise our sales potential through effective planning, budgeting and forecasting.

How has Supercity come to specialise in aparthotels specifically?

We’ve specialised in aparthotels from day one, and feel they offer the perfect home-from-home ambience. They provide this excellent balance of serviced accommodation and hotel-like amenities which really lends itself to our lifestyle, experience-led brand.

Which is your favourite Supercity property and why?

I would have to say Nevern Place in Earl’s Court. It’s nestled in a beautiful former Victorian Townhouse, and located on a restful residential street, meaning you can truly relax while you’re there.

Art is a key feature in the properties you provide. How do you source this art and what are the main themes driving it?

All art is carefully selected to match our apartments. We have an in-house designer who goes to painstaking lengths to procure only the most relevant pieces. In Manchester, we’ve been working closely with a number of schools and colleges, sourcing artists to produce bespoke art especially for us.

How does Supercity work to support the environment?

We’re committed to protecting the environment. In a number of our properties, for example, we’ve cut back on plastic toiletries and replaced them with glass ones instead.  We also avoid using palm oil at all costs – which is terrible for the environment.

Which new locations to do you hope to expand into?

We have new apartments opening up in locations:

Brighton – 2019

Chancery Lane (London) – October 2018

Manchester – October 2018
