We recently visited SACO Holborn Apartments to take part in a quiz night organised by one of our property partners. We attended the event so we could familiarise ourselves with these apartments, which are located in a stylish area on Lamb’s Conduit Street in Holborn. The apartments are a 5 minute walk from Covent Garden tube station and are surrounded by restaurants, boutique shops and quaint little delis.
Directly adjacent to the apartments is a lovely looking pub, which would be ideal as a local.
The reception was still open when we arrived at 19:00 and we were told it's normally open until 23:00. This is perfect for any business traveller coming into London late. The quiz took place in a two bed apartment that has an ideally sized kitchen and a huge balcony. Put it this way, it was big enough to fit 20 of us in with plenty of room to spare. You wouldn't get that in a hotel would you? There’s wooden flooring throughout the property that leads out on to a balcony on one side of the property. There’s a fully-equipped kitchen with everything you need, including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The dining area is modern and stylish with an oven and hob in the open plan kitchen too.
The two bedroom apartments have a bathroom for each bedroom and the three bedroom apartments even have three bathrooms! These apartments have all the privacy you need. There’s a good sized flat screen TV with a DVD player and a direct dial telephone. They even provided us with a welcome pack for us to have a look through, which contained things like tea, coffee and toilet paper – enough to get you started. Information and breakfast packs are available with Wi-Fi ready to go! Even amongst the hustle and bustle of Holborn there’s onsite parking for guests who are staying within the apartments.
Rob Hanlon, Kristel Horst, Al Butler and Beth Stanford were the victors in the almighty game of general knowledge – bagging four bottles of champagne. If only all of our viewings were like this.
