Harrington Gardens
19th May 2014

We recently visited the Harrington Gardens Apartments by The Harrington, in South Kensington. We finished work and jumped on the district line at Chiswick Park tube station, exiting at Gloucester Road. We turned right out of the station and walked for two minutes until we reached The Harrington, just one of the many serviced apartments in London in the SilverDoor portfolio. Matthew Brooks and Fred Verity greeted us at the reception of 3 Harrington Gardens and we split into groups (seven in each). Fred led one group to the new apartments, situated two minutes to the left of Gloucester Road tube station in. Our group was led into a large entrance hall and into the first apartment on the ground floor of 3 Harrington Gardens.

The high ceilings and wooden flooring ran into the kitchen and living area. The room was spacious and furnished with grey, beige and sandy interior, complete with modern ornaments and artwork. I imagined the apartment to make a perfect home for the business traveller. The apartment upstairs had a different layout, but shared the same modern décor. It has a separate living area with a small set of stairs that led into a fully equipped kitchen that was fitted with shiny white new appliances. The bedrooms feature large sliding door wardrobes with frosted glass shutters. The bathrooms had green and grey marbled walls and the rooms are finished with green decorative bathroom accessories and toiletries.

We viewed the studio first which, like every other apartment, featured a fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer. The yellow, white and grey interior gave a bright and fresh feel about the place, whilst the living area included a HD flat screen TV and MP3 plug-in facilities. We continued onto a one bed and then a two bed apartment, before moving onto an executive one bed with a terrace. What stood out about executive apartment apartment was the layout. Walking through the hall, we crossed the dining area and the kitchen where we were greeted by a small set of stairs that headed into the living area. Here we found open plan room and under a large skylight window – demonstrating just how relaxing these apartments can be.
