Within 10 minutes’ walk of Victoria, close to the river by Chelsea and 5 stops on the tube to the City, Chichester Street Apartments strikes you as a genuine home in Pimlico.  Calm and well cared-for, the property is astoundingly large. Various wings of neat apartments rise up around lush rose gardens. Guests in sportswear paced past us as we walked in. The popular gym and indoor pool are a rarity for serviced apartments in central London and access is complimentary for all guests – they even had an on-site Moroccan themed spa! The serviced apartments are part of a huge residential complex complete with private gardens.

Welcomed by a smiling receptionist, we were ushered into a meeting room where the rest of our SilverDoor colleagues were waiting. We quickly realised this was going to be a different kind of property viewing, as the staff were all dressed as referees. We were split in to two teams and introduced to the event, which was a World Cup themed treasure hunt. Well-executed, with just the right hint of tongue-in-cheek, Tracie, Janice and Melissa led us on a series of escapades designed to guide us around the key features of the property.

From their short-stay (under 89 nights) to their extended stay (90+ nights) apartments, we raced each other through the gym into the charmingly old-fashioned parade of shops, restaurant and spa, following football-themed clues. We also darted through studios, one, two and three bedroom contemporary apartments. Memorable, enjoyable and just a little bit silly, we felt at ease and well cared for by the staff. Any other viewing at 08:30 would have been quite sedate; the creativity added a lot of personality. We’ll never forget racing our manager through the rose gardens or the pleasant, contemporary style of the serviced apartments in Pimlico that we hunted through.
