SilverDoor bake sale raises £200 for Breast Cancer Campaign
12th April 2012

There are some aching limbs around the office at the moment: eleven members of staff are in the midst of a strenuous training regime, in preparation for our 10k run around central London for Breast Cancer Campaign.

The run takes place on 27th May and before then we need to raise the quite intimidating sum of £1,650. To spur us all on in our fundraising efforts, we held a bake sale last week.

We know SilverDoor staff are never ones to resist cake, so at the beginning of the day we set up a miniature patisserie upstairs. The delectable selection included multi-coloured macaroons, millionaire shortbread, red velvet cupcakes and, erm, raspberry and white chocolate breast cakes.

Members of staff then walked around Chiswick selling cakes to staff in local shops. All the cakes sold, with the exception of some slightly squished macaroons, and we eventually raised £205 which went straight into our JustGiving account.

If you’d like to sponsor us, you can do so via our JustGiving page. All donations will be hugely appreciated.
