Duck and Waffle
Duck and Waffle is located on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower in the City of London and is open 24 hours a day. Boasting the title of highest restaurant in the UK, this perfect brunch spot has one of the best views across the city. Get there early enough and you can watch the city as it wakes. The British and European inspired breakfasts are made with seasonal, local ingredients. Try the restaurant’s namesake, duck and waffle - confit of duck and fried duck egg served with mustard maple syrup.

The Wolseley
If you’re looking for a typically English breakfast, head to the Wolseley in Piccadilly. Turning brunch into a rather grand affair, the restaurant is housed in a Grade II listed building which was once a Wolseley car showroom. The restaurant isn’t as expensive as you might think and is the perfect place for a business brunch or to just peruse the morning papers at the weekend.

Koya Bar
Unlike sister restaurant, the established Koya, Koya Bar is open for breakfast! Putting a Japanese twist on English favourites in an authentic setting, the ‘English’ breakfast comes with fried egg, bacon and shiitake. For a slightly lighter start to the day, choose from a variety of porridges including porridge with pickle, tsukudani and egg.

The Modern Pantry
If you’re looking for a sugar hit at brunchtime then try the Modern Pantry in Clerkenwell. Just the list of jams is sure to get your mouth watering with gooseberry, cherry and kumquat marmalade on offer. For something sweet and savoury, try the raspberry and ricotta pancakes.
