As a growing company, we continually strive to increase our serviced apartment offering globally and, in the last three months have added an impressive number of new properties to our portfolio. In doing so, we’ve been able to expand into different cities and enlarge our reach in others.
Naturally, we’ve visited as many of these new properties as possible. Strict benchmarking dictates that we personally verify our apartments for quality, comfort and location.
With that said, here are some of our most recent openings:
Citadines Barbican London
Opened: June
Following a recent refurbishment in June, Citadines Barbican London has been updated to include more spacious rooms and a stylish food and drink market in reception, providing fresh, seasonal produce, seven days a week. All studio and one bedroom apartments available are modern, open-plan, and boast air conditioning, and en-suite bathrooms. As well as on-site parking, guests have access to work desks, gym facilities and dry cleaning services. Being in the City, this property is blessed with a fantastic location: close to Barbican tube station, along with various pubs and restaurants.
Marlin Waterloo Apartments
Opened: June
This new aparthotel is the largest of its kind in Waterloo. It’s so close to Waterloo station, you can actually walk there in a couple of minutes. We were there so see it open its doors about a month ago, in a fun-filled evening of cocktails, nibbles and roulette. The studio apartments at this property are nicely varied in size and layout, and provide a comfortable stay. On-site amenities include a fitness centre, café, bar and communal lounge.
The Roka Apartments
Opened: May
Roomspace’s first property opening in East London is a great addition to the SilverDoor portfolio. It’s a modern and unique development, just a ten minute drive from Canary Wharf, and provides a mixture of one and two bedroom apartments, each with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and private terrace. On the doorstep are Canning Town tube station and Stratford train station. ExCel London is also only ten minutes away by car.
Twenty Eight Apartments
Opened: May
Amsterdam's new Twenty Eight Apartments are as stylish as they come, providing serviced accommodation in the Stadionbuurt neighbourhood, close to local transport links. Young professionals will feel right home in these innovative studio and two bedroom units - we know because we stayed there ourselves in June. What's more, there are plenty of luxury extras to enjoy here including a restaurant, cafe and on-site sauna.
Eden Locke Apartments
Opened: June
First open in late June, Eden Locke Apartments is the second Locke aparthotel, following Leman Locke, and has proved hugely popular so far. This design-led aparthotel finds a home in central Edinburgh, just a 15 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station, and eight miles from Edinburgh International Airport. Each studio apartment is cleverly thought out in terms of space, and includes a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and fridge/freezer. We especially love the on-site coffee lounge, Hyde & Son, which turns into an artisan bar in the evening serving craft beer, wine and cocktails.
Wyndham Street Apartments
Opened: June
A dash of yellow goes a long way in this contemporary Edgware Road property, which is as bright as it is airy. As a reflection of the boutiques and homeware stores nearby, all studio apartments feature wooden flooring and trendy furniture, with separate areas to eat, work and relax. Each unit also has washer/dryer, while housekeeping is provided twice a week. We love how close this property is to Hyde Park and Regent’s Park.
Hampton Court Apartments
Opened: April
Hampton Court really does come to life in the summer. Between Hampton Court Palace Festival and the Flower Show, the arrival of warmer days means get news for anyone living or working in the local area. London Executive Apartments used this opportunity to unveil a new property close to Hampton Court station, sporting one bedroom apartments complete with free parking, life access and bike storage.
