Business Trip to Stockholm
Earlier this month I travelled to one of our largest corporate cities in the Nordics; Stockholm, where a snowstorm could not stop me from meeting some of our valued property partners and viewing a selection of serviced apartments in the Swedish capital.
The visits not only provided me with valuable product knowledge, closer relationships with our property partners and a better understanding of the markets which will to an improved service to our clients but also gave me a chance to experience what the city has to offer in terms of history & entertainment.
I made Sveavagen Hotorget my home during my time in Stockholm which was in the commercial and tourist part of the city – Norrmalm. A 30-second walk from the nearest metro station (Radmansgatan) the property could not be better placed to get settled into a city with a vast array of supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants nearby.
Below is a snapshot of the Swedish serviced apartments & partners I visited during my time in Stockholm; a wrap-up of some of the properties I viewed and some handy tips when visiting the city, either on a short business trip or longer-term stays.

There is a refurbishment planned in the property to update the décor and install a fully equipped kitchen, improving the already impressive service.

Tips for visiting Stockholm city, for the Corporate Traveller
- There are some great restaurants in the city but be prepared to book in advance to avoid disappointment
- If you are arriving by plane at Arlanda Airport then there is no quicker way than getting the Arlanda Express, which gets you to Stockholm Central Station in 18 minutes. Stockholm has an impressive metro system and Central Station is linked to all major metro lines
- Sweden has a government alcohol monopoly called Systembolaget for the sale of all alcoholic drinks stronger than 3.5% by volume. So, if you want to buy your favourite bottle of wine then you will need to go to a Systembolaget
- The transport system is very reliable, and you can buy travel passes from 24 hours all the way up to 1 year and the prices are reasonable (From vendors such as GoCity)
- The city is very resilient when it comes to weather – not even a snowstorm can stop the transport system
- It gets very cold in the winter months so make sure to pack appropriately, especially if you plan to travel between the months of October to April
